Constitutional Law

This is the basic course in constitutional law, a foundation for more specialized courses on the Constitution and for public law courses generally. The course explores the architecture of the Constitution, the American tradition of judicial review, theories of constitutional interpretation, and constitutional limitations on government. The course is divided roughly into "structure" and "rights." The first half of the course focuses on the constitutional powers of the federal government and the states. The second half of the course focuses on theories and doctrines of constitutional rights.
