Section Description

This course concerns the common law of injuries to people and to property. We will explore topics ranging from basic theories of liability, such as negligence, to class actions and mass injury cases, such as those resulting from environmental disasters. Special attention will be given to the design and use of tort remedies, such as injunctions, compensatory damages, and punitive damages.
