Section Description

This course concerns the common law of injuries to people and property. We will explore topics ranging from foundational concepts of civil liability, such as negligence and causation, to the practical complexities of class actions and mass torts, such as those arising from environmental disasters. Special attention will be given to the design and use of tort remedies, such as compensatory damages and punitive damages.
