Section Description
This is a required companion course to the Ex. Legal Practice- General Corporations. Under the supervision of a corporate chief legal officer and adjunct faculty supervisor, students will spend ten hours a week at an approved placement with a corporate general counsel or with a financial enforcement agency. Through this work they will observe and study firsthand how their legal supervisors navigate the rules of professional responsibility, explore basic principles of organizational governance and compliance, learn about the application of attorney-client privilege in an organizational setting, explore the interaction of in-house lawyers with outside counsel, and gain a deeper understanding of the legal system and the practice of law.
