The yearlong competition culminated with finalists Margaret Broihier ’27, Jason Harward ’26, Coley Hungate ’26, and Benjamin Tutt ’27 arguing before a panel of distinguished jurists. Tutt won the prize for best oral presentation, and Hungate won for best final-round brief.

The judge for the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts joined Dean Daniel Abebe for a fireside chat and spoke about his path to the law, the nuances of sentencing, and the value of clerking. 
 

Columbia Law School’s Class of 2026—including J.D., LL.M., E.LL.M., and J.S.D. students—celebrated their achievements along with their family and friends at a Class Day ceremony featuring a keynote address by former U.S. Solicitor General Donald B. Verrilli Jr. ’83.

The first final arguments of the Harlan Fiske Stone Moot Court Competition took place in 1926. In honor of that milestone, competitors, directors, and judges reflect on the competition and its enduring impact on careers and connections. 

The third annual event, sponsored by the Ira M. Millstein Center for Global Markets and Corporate Ownership, explored new ideas and analyses relating to capital markets and corporate governance.

The award recognizes Mukherjee, who is founder and director of the Law School’s Immigrants’ Rights Clinic, for her extraordinary and creative voluntary service that has contributed significantly to the university’s inclusion and belonging efforts.
