You may post a job for students and alumni on Symplicity. 

Posting Instructions:

  1. Go to the Symplicity homepage at  https://law-columbia-csm.symplicity.com/employers
  2. Click the Jobs tab on the navigation bar, followed by Job Postings
  3. Click Post A Job 
  4. Fill out the details of the position, including how you would like to receive applications (via email, external url (‘other - enter below’), or Resume Collect (‘accumulate online’), and click Submit.

Members of the judiciary interested in hiring a Columbia Law School student or graduate should contact the Office of Judicial Careers. Employers interested in hiring a Columbia Law School student or graduate for a public interest or public sector position should contact the Office of Public Interest/Public Service Law and Careers.

The Summer Recruiting Program (SIP/EAP) is the largest of Columbia Law School’s annual recruitment programs and provides the opportunity for 2Ls and 3Ls to interview with private and select public sector employers for summer positions. To be eligible for Columbia Law School’s Summer Recruiting Program, students must participate in mandatory programming designed to prepare them for the recruiting process. The Office of Private Sector Careers in conjunction with the Office of Public Interest/Public Service Law and Careers hosts two additional On-Campus Interview Programs for J.D. students.

Fall OCI (Late August-September) provides 3L students with an opportunity to interview with law firms, corporations, government, and public interest organizations for summer and postgraduate positions. Interviews are held from September to October.

Spring OCI (January-March) provides 1L, 2L and 3L students with an opportunity to interview with law firms, corporations, government, and public interest organizations for summer and postgraduate positions. Interviews are held from January to March.

The Overseas-Trained LL.M. Interview Program is an annual program administered by Columbia Law School that is designed to bring together legal employers from around the world to meet with LL.M. students from seven of the top U.S. law schools. 

LL.M. students have the opportunity to interview for permanent and training postgraduate positions with U.S. and foreign law firms. Participating schools include the University of Chicago Law School, Columbia Law School, Harvard Law School, the University of Michigan Law School, Stanford Law School, the University of Virginia School of Law, and Yale Law School. The LL.M. Interview Program will be held virtually in late January.
