Section Description

This course examines the federal regulatory state, considering the ways in which law is made by Congress and administrative agencies and how that law is interpreted and applied by courts. We will focus on (1) the legislative process and statutory interpretation; (20 the relationship between administrative agencies and constitutional actors such as the President and Congress; (3) the basic forms of agency action, with a focus on informal rulemaking; and (4) judicial review of agency action.
