Social Justice Initiatives Announces 2019 LL.M. Public Interest and Government Fellows
Graduates will span the globe, working on immigration issues, advocating for victims of violence, and more.
Columbia Law School has a long tradition of training students for careers in public service and public interest. The office of Social Justice Initiatives (SJI) offers comprehensive guidance and support to students who seek positions serving the public good, both in the United States and abroad. SJI also administers several post-graduate fellowships, including those that provide funding for Columbia Law graduates to launch careers focused on human rights and public service.
“LL.M. candidates bring a breadth of global experience that enriches our school community, and they graduate with an education that is unique to Columbia Law,” says SJI Dean Erica Smock ’95. “During these fellowships, they will not only continue to advance their careers but also help to advance public interest issues around the world.”
