Human Rights in an Aging World: Technology, Inclusion, and Accountability
Join the Columbia Law School Human Rights Institute for a timely conversation with Dr. Claudia Mahler, UN Independent Expert on the enjoyment of all human rights by older persons. The discussion will explore how digitalization, artificial intelligence, data privacy, and emerging technologies are redefining equality, autonomy, and dignity in later life — and what role lawyers can play in shaping rights-based responses.
Dr. Mahler will also share insights from her UN mandate and discuss pathways for student engagement in cutting-edge research and advocacy at the intersection of human rights, technology, and aging.
