The 2026 Irell & Manella Prize is currently accepting applications from members of Columbia Law School’s Class of 2028. The 2026 recipient of the Irell & Manella Prize will receive a cash award of $4,773, and they can select a Columbia Law School student organization to receive an additional cash award of $4,773. Completed applications are due by June 30, 2026.

The Irell & Manella Fund was created in 2004 through the generosity of Irell & Manella LLP and the Irell & Manella Foundation. Annually, the Irell & Manella Prize is awarded to a 1L student whose outstanding leadership and good citizenship helped to create a sense of community and engagement among peers during the first year of law school. In addition to the student’s award, the Irell & Manella Prize Recipient will select a student organization at Columbia Law School that will receive a one-time monetary award from the Irell & Manella Fund.
