Section Description
Course Objective: The objective of this course is straightforward: to master the rules of evidence. These rules dictate what evidence jurors are permitted to hear, how that evidence can be used, and how that evidence must be offered. Because these rules are best understood in action, be prepared to learn not only by reading the assignments, but also by doing. We will engage in numerous exercises in class to simulate the courtroom experience. By the end of the course, everyone should be intimately familiar with the rules of evidence that are raised most frequently, and capable of applying those rules in a real-world context.
