Section Description
This course will examine the ways law relates to human sexuality and gender by defining and regulating them. We will discuss topics such as the distinction between sex and gender, equal protection, discrimination based on sex or gender, sex work, sexuality and sexual harassment in the workplace, education, family, and marriage. The topics will mostly, though not entirely, engage US constitutional law, and will cover the law's regulation of sexuality and gender through the lenses of privacy, liberty, equal protection, and freedom of expression, among others.
