Columbia Law School Professor C. Scott Hemphill Testifies on Proposed Comcast, Time Warner Merger

New York, May 8, 2014—Columbia Law School Professor C. Scott Hemphill testified about the proposed merger of Comcast and Time Warner at a May 8 hearing of the House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Regulatory Reform, Commercial and Antitrust Law.

Hemphill testified that the merger is “unlikely to affect prices for consumers; to have anticompetitive effects on programmers; or to incrementally foreclose competition from online video by impeding connectivity or access to programming.”
