Financial Aid

Learn more about financing your law school education.

Transfer students are not eligible for Columbia Law School grant assistance. However, the Office of Financial Aid certifies educational loan applications for all Columbia Law School students, so this information may still be useful if you need educational loans to finance your cost of attendance.

PLEASE NOTE: Changes to federal student loans for the 2026-2027 academic year are available on the central University's Student Financial Services website. As updates to the Federal Student Loan information become available, it will be posted on the SFS website accordingly.

Please refer to the Financial Aid website for our most current policies and procedures as well as forthcoming instructions on applying for student loans. You will also find budget guidelines and links to resources.
