Silke Sahl

  • International, Comparative and Foreign Law Librarian
Silke Sahl has been the International, Comparative and Foreign Law Librarian at Columbia Law School's Library since 2000. Ms. Sahl selects library materials in international, comparative and foreign law areas, and is responsible for 35 percent of the library book budget. Ms. Sahl works with reference librarians to increase their foreign and international research skills and consults with them on difficult reference questions.

 From 1996 to 2000, Ms. Sahl was Reference Librarian for Foreign, Comparative and International Law at the Harvard Law School Library. Prior to that, Ms. Sahl was Reference Librarian at The Catholic University School of Law from 1993 to 1995.

  Ms. Sahl has a B.A. in psychology from Southwestern University in Texas and a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin. Ms. Sahl has an M.S. in library science from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.
