Nicole Tortoriello has been an Assistant Attorney General in the Workers' Rights and Antifraud Section of the Office of the Attorney General of the District of Columbia since February 2021. She focuses primarily on worker's rights enforcement, including wage theft, worker misclassification, and the District's universal paid leave program. Previously, she was the Secular Society Women’s Rights Advocacy Counsel at the ACLU of Virginia from 2018-2021, where she was responsible for the organization's full portfolio of gender justice issues in both litigation and advocacy, including anti-discrimination protections, criminal legal reform, and reproductive rights. Nicole has also clerked for the Honorable Catherine C. Blake of the US District Court for Maryland and practiced at Arnold & Porter LLC in Washington, DC.
