Michael Blair

Michael Blair served as a member of the senior leadership team of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP for the past 25 years. From 2011 to 2022 he led the firm as its Presiding Partner. Prior to his election as Presiding Partner, he served for 14 years as Chair or Co-Chair of the firm’s global corporate practice. In these roles he has been closely involved with all of the major changes in the business aspects of large law firms over that time.

As a practitioner Michael concentrated in M&A, capital markets and general corporate work. He represented companies, boards and advisors in many large corporate transactions over the past several decades. Michael received his JD from the University of Chicago Law School in 1981.
