Eirik Bjorge is a Professor of Law at Bristol University Law School in the United Kingdom. His previous appointments include NYU, where he was a Senior Global Research Fellow; Oxford University, where he was a Junior Research Fellow at Jesus College; and Sciences Po, Paris, where he was a visiting fellow. His current research is in the field of the law of treaties, general principles of law, and international dispute settlement. He has also acted as counsel in proceedings before the International Court of Justice, the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, the UN Human Rights Committee, the European Court of Human Rights, as well as arbitral tribunals under the ICSID system and under the auspices of the Permanent Court of Arbitration.
