Daniel Zachary Kay

Dan has been an attorney in the Criminal Defense Practice at the Bronx Defenders since 2014. He has defended clients facing both misdemeanor and felony charges at all stages in their criminal cases, from arraignments through hearings and trials. From 2017 to 2018, he was also the office's specialist in the Integrated Domestic Violence Part, where he represented clients facing criminal charges who were also either petitioners or respondents in custody, visitation, and family offense matters in family court. Dan earned his J.D. at Vanderbilt University Law School. While at Vanderbilt, he participated in the Criminal Defense Clinic, as well as internships at the Federal Public Defender for the Middle District of Tennessee and the Public Defender for Metropolitan Nashville & Davidson County. He earned his B.A. at Amherst College.
