Skadden Fellowship Info Session

Feb 2026
23

Any student planning on working in public interest after graduation is strongly encouraged to attend this session about the Skadden Foundation Fellowship, which supports public interest work with a host organization. Charlie Gillig, executive director of the Skadden Foundation, will provide valuable information about the fellowship, its project requirements, and the application process. We will be joined by a Columbia alum who will talk about their experience as a Skadden Fellow. There will be a Q and A, so bring at least one good question! Skadden applications are due in September 2026. You are eligible to apply if you will be a 3L or a judicial clerk at that time. Learn more.

Lunch provided—register five days ahead to prevent food waste. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options will be available. If you have other dietary restrictions, email us at least five days in advance.

Skadden Fellowship Consultations with Charlie Gillig, Executive Director

After the information session, Charlie Gillig, executive director of the Skadden Foundation, will be available for individual appointments with interested students. This is a valuable opportunity to learn more about the fellowship, get insight into how best to position your application, and connect one-on-one with Charlie.

Time slots are limited, so sign up early here. Students who sign up will receive a confirmation email with details.

Presented by the Office of Public Interest/Public Service Law and Careers (the PI/PS Office).
