This panel will explore career paths in public interest and public service real estate law, focusing on how lawyers shape housing access, land use, and city development through legal work that directly serves the public. Panelists will discuss the wide spectrum of practice areas, including eviction defense, affordable housing development, zoning and land use, municipal transactions, and litigation involving public land and property interests.
The panel is designed to help law students better understand the real estate-related work happening across government, legal services, and nonprofit organizations. It also will offer insight into how legal training can be used to promote housing justice, protect communities, and influence the built environment.
