Section Description
Note: The method of assessment for this colloquium is class participation, weekly reaction papers, and an oral assessment.
This colloquium will be devoted to exploring cutting-edge legal scholarship in AI & law. Guest speakers will present works-in-progress over the course of the semester. The goals of the class include developing students' expertise in the law of AI, exposing students to the work of a wide range of scholars, and developing students' ability to evaluate and comment on legal scholarship. Students who have not taken a prior course on technology law are welcome. No prerequisite knowledge is required. The readings themselves will generally provide enough information about the relevant case law or statutory provisions so that additional reading will be unnecessary. Where that is not the case, supplemental background materials will be provided.
