Section Description
is is a required companion course to Ex. Legal Practice LLM New York State Supreme Court. Students will work up to ten hours a week at the New York State Supreme Court, New York County, Through first-hand observation and classroom discussion, students will have the opportunity to learn about the roles judges, advocates, judicial clerks, and other court personnel play in the state justice system and the processes through which judicial decisions are made.• The field-placement component of the externship will involve legal research, analysis, and writing on the cases to which students have been assigned supervising judge. Written work product may include bench memorandums and/or draft opinions and orders.
