Section Description
This seminar introduces key frontier issues and current debates at the intersection of law and artificial intelligence, such as algorithmic fairness, explainable AI, and privacy. The first session will provide an overview of the emerging field of Law and AI, along with the evolving regulatory landscape. Each subsequent session will focus on a specific theme and feature a guest expert in that area. Discussions will center on a recent academic paper by the guest, and students will be expected to complete background readings addressing both the technical and legal dimensions of the topic. No prior experience with AI or technology is required.
This course will meet six times over the course of the semester; dates forthcoming.
