Section Description
This class will cover the Federal Rules of Evidence (FRE), as well as expert testimony, the role of the court and the jury, the competency of witnesses, direct and cross examination, admission and exclusion of evidence, credibility of evidence, relevancy and circumstantial evidence, the hearsay rule, and constitutional problems in evidence law. This class is designed to help you develop (1) a working knowledge of the FRE; (2) an ability to quickly and accurately solve evidentiary problems; (3) knowledge and understanding of key cases that discuss and analyze the FRE; and (4) an understanding of the theory, purpose, goals, and implications of the FRE.
