Section Description
The Advanced Community Advocacy Lab Clinic will be an opportunity for students who have already completed Community Advocacy Lab to continue developing their skills and experience in systemic advocacy. Advanced clinic students will have two different options for participation, depending on the convergence of client interest, student interest, the state of advocacy, and faculty capacity. The first option is to continue their previous semester’s work for an organizational client. The specifics of this work will vary each semester, with the input of faculty, client, and student as well as the circumstances of the advocacy. The second option for advanced clinic students will be to work with Prof. Shanahan on developing their leadership and lawyering capacities by (1) identifying and developing future clients and projects for the clinic and (2) facilitating the work of main clinic semester students.
