Section Description

The Technology & Venture Capital Law seminar will teach you all about what it means to be a tech lawyer, and how you can best serve startups, late-stage tech companies, and investors, whether as outside or in-house counsel. Over the course of the semester, we’ll dive into what makes the tech space unique, and how this shapes an attorney’s role in the ecosystem. We will track the lifecycle of a technology company—from formation to financing, through execution and exit—and explore the legal advisor’s unique role in advising and supporting a company through these stages. At the end of the course, you will leave with a technical understanding of the concepts, laws, and regulations that affect and shape companies in the tech industry, as well as a practical understanding of how to give legal and strategic advice in your role as outside or in-house counsel.
