Section Description

This seminar focuses on cutting-edge research in law and economics (L&E). In approximately six of the class sessions (held every other week), we will host a workshop during which a leading scholar in the field will present their ongoing research. In the weeks with no outside speaker, the seminar will meet to discuss the papers that will be presented in the following workshop. A team of students will be assigned to each speaker paper, and that team will lead class discussion of the paper the week before the live workshop.

Students may choose between (a) writing short reaction papers for each of the outside papers, or (with instructor approval) (b) writing one reaction paper and writing a L&E-inspired term paper that will satisfy the JD Minor writing credit or the LLM writing project.
