If grant and loan funds deposited to your University student account exceed your charges, you may apply for a refund of any excess amount once all of your charges and financial aid funds are reflected on your student account.

Refunds can be used for educationally related expenses such as books and living costs. You may apply for a refund at the University’s Student Service Center, through the Student Services Online (SSOL) Website, or by calling the University’s Student Service Center at 212-854-4400. The University’s Student Service Center issues refunds either by mailing a check or by direct deposit. To file a Direct Deposit Authorization, visit the SSOL website.

Please make sure to notify the University’s Student Service Center of your correct mailing address when requesting a refund check.  Refunds may take up to two weeks to process, and you may contact the University’s Student Service Center or the Law School Financial Aid Office if you have problems or delays in receiving your refund.
