New York, April 29, 2010—Five hundred or so students lined up a midnight to take a much-appreciated break from studying for finals to enjoy an early pancake breakfast buffet, served up by Dean of Students Michelle Greenberg-Kobrin, Professor and Vice Dean Trevor Morrison, Professor Ariela R. Dubler, and Amanda Beltran, Scheduling and Administrative Coordinator for Student Services.

Students arrived early, grateful for the diversion and the chance to socialize and commiserate about studying for finals. The buffet included pancakes, waffles, and eggs, as well as home fries, bagels and plenty of fresh coffee. “After a long year, we felt it would be nice to express to students that we appreciate how much energy they need to push through the last weeks of exams, “ said Greenberg-Kobrin. “Although it was midnight—late for some of us—the gathering brought a welcome dose of levity and smiles to the students during this always tough time of the school year.”

This event was funded through a gift from the A. Findlay Geddes & Mildred K. Geddes Charitable Foundation under the direction of Peter R. Strohm, Esq.’71.
