The Deans' Cup is an annual basketball game played between the students of NYU School of Law and Columbia Law School. Last year over 1,200 students and alumni attended the game which, thanks to the generous support of our sponsoring law firms, enabled us to donate $40,000 dollars to the public interest law organizations at NYU and Columbia. Together with ancillary activities, such as a pre-game cocktail reception, a half-time faculty game, and a post-game party, the event helped to further unite Columbia and NYU students, faculty, and alumni. NYU was the 2004 victor in a thrilling 76-75 overtime win and this year Columbia will seek its revenge! This year we have set a fundraising record and hope to contribute nearly $75,000 to the public interest law organizations at NYU and Columbia. This money provides summer funding for students who are working in public interest positions during the summer.
