Dean Schizer's statement on death of Admissions Dean Milligan

I am terribly sorry to announce that Jim Milligan has passed away. My heart goes out to Karen and Ned, who must be devastated by this very sudden loss. Jim was an integral part of our community for twenty-five years. He viewed our students as his children, remembering details about their files for decades after they graduated. He was a wonderfully talented admissions professional, and a loyal and dear friend. On a personal note, I am deeply grateful for the support and friendship he showed me during my first semester as Dean. Words cannot describe the way I feel about this.

Needless to say, we will all rally around our colleagues in the admissions office, as we all share, and are committed to maintaining, Jim's high standards.

David Schizer
