CLS Alumni, Adjunct Named in List of Top 100 N.Y. Lawyers

The top ten list includes three Columbia Law graduates

July 19, 2006 - Twenty-four Columbia Law School graduates and one adjunct professor appeared on the Law & Politics list of top New York "Super Lawyers." The annual list recognizes attorneys who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. According to the rankings, three Columbia Law alumni members were among the top ten attorneys in New York State: Peter C. Canellos '67, Robert G. Morvillo '63, and Mary Jo White '74.

Attorneys were selected based on surveys distributed to bar members state-wide and the findings of a review panel that examined the background and experience of candidates. The panel considered factors such as years of experience in primary practice area, number of cases or transactions, representative clients, major transactions and verdicts, honors and awards, position within the bar, scholarly work, lectures and pro bono activity.
