Behind The Scenes: The Law Library Renovation

A soaring, spacious reading room and ample group study areas and seating will create “a special place to be students.” 

Daniel Abebe, Dean and Lucy G. Moses Professor of Law, accompanied by students and staff, recently took a hard-hat tour of the new Columbia Law School Law Library, now under construction in Jerome L. Greene Hall. With 50,000 square feet of space, more than 600 study seats, and 20 group study rooms, the reimagined library, set to open in fall 2025, promises to transform the student experience both academically and socially.
