Associate in Law Bart M.J. Szewczyk Named to List of Top Foreign Policy Leaders
New York, September 18, 2013—Bart M.J. Szewczyk, an associate in law at Columbia Law School, has been named to the “99 Under 33,” an international list of young influential foreign policy leaders created by Diplomatic Courier magazine and Young Professionals in Foreign Policy (YPFP).
Szewczyk is a member of the Executive Council at the American Society of International Law, term member at the Council on Foreign Relations, and international editor of the Polish Yearbook of International Law. Prior to joining the Columbia Law School faculty, he practiced international arbitration and appellate litigation at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale & Dorr in Washington, D.C., taught as an adjunct professor at the George Washington University Law School, and clerked at both the International Court of Justice in The Hague and in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
