March 13, 2008 (NEW YORK) – Columbia Law School’s annual Law and Philosophy Lecture is scheduled for March 13, 2008 at 4:30 p.m. in Jerome Greene Hall, Room 101.
 
This year’s speaker is Jeremy Waldron who will discuss “Inhuman and Degrading Treatment: A Non-Realist Analysis.”
 
Professor Waldron is University Professor at New York University School of Law and teaches legal and political philosophy. He previously taught at Columbia Law School.
He was born and educated in New Zealand, where he studied for degrees in philosophy and in law at the University of Otago. He was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in 1978.
