Yussuf A Aleem

Yussuf is a Lecturer in Law. He is also an Acting Assistant Professor of Lawyering at the NYU School of Law and a teaching team member for the Harvard Law School Trial Advocacy Program. His current research examines the role of law and policy during a time of rapid technological advancement.

He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School and LL.M. from Columbia Law School. He holds an M.S. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.A. from the University of California, Davis.

Professor Aleem has extensive practice experience. He founded Joseph, Aleem & Slowik, LLC, primarily representing healthcare clients, and co-founded the Aleem Law Firm, a plaintiffs' trial practice. He previously worked at the law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP. He is admitted to practice in New York, Massachusetts, and Georgia, and is a registered mediator with the Georgia Commission on Dispute Resolution.

His work has appeared in Law360, Yahoo Finance, Law.com, the Daily Report, the Georgia Bar Journal, the American Bar Association, and Emory Law School's Corporate Governance and Accountability Law Review. He is the co-author of the book, Small Law; Big Success: How to Use Business Niche Specialization to Grow a Multi-Million Dollar Law Practice (Edward Elgar).
