Viren Mascarenhas, lecturer in law, is an associate in the International Arbitration Group of Freshfields, Bruckhaus, Deringer US. He has worked as a litigation and international arbitration associate at the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom in New York as well as a legal officer at the Special Court for Sierra Leone in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
Mascarenhas is a graduate of Columbia Law School, where he received the Whitney N. Seymour Trial Advocacy medal and was also a Kent Scholar. After receiving his J.D., Mascarenhas clerked for H.E. President Rosalyn Higgins at the International Court of Justice at The Hague in the Netherlands.
