Susan Paulson is a Senior Counsel in the Appeals Division of the New York City Law Department. She clerked on the Massachusetts Appeals Court and then worked in the Government Bureau of the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General prior to joining the Law Department in 2005. Susan litigates in both state and federal courts, handling a wide array of civil appeals on behalf of the City on issues such as employment discrimination, gun licensing, tort liability, abuse and neglect, and juvenile delinquency.
Susan received her JD from Northeastern University School of Law and her BA from Williams College. From 2013-2018, she taught an appellate litigation clinic at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
