Nicholas V Wiltsie

Nicholas Wiltsie is an assistant federal public defender at Federal Defenders of New York in their White Plains office. Previously, he spent ten years as a state public defender in The Legal Aid Society's Criminal Defense Practice in Brooklyn, NY. In 2022, Wiltsie joined Columbia Law School as a Lecturer in Law for Legal Practice Workshop.

Wiltsie earned a B.A. from Canisius College and a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a founding member of the Student Public Interest Network, founding president of the Public Defender Students of CLS, and a managing editor for the Human Right Law Review's Jailhouse Lawyer's Manual.
