Michael Jo is an Assistant Attorney General in the Antitrust Bureau of the Office of the New York State Attorney General. He has investigated and litigated cases under federal and state antitrust law involving various industries, including technology platforms, telecommunications, healthcare, and labor markets. In 2020 he received the Attorney General’s Louis J. Lefkowitz Award for superior service.
Prior to joining the Office of the Attorney General, he was in private practice for six years, where he represented clients in criminal antitrust investigations and prosecutions and other government investigations. He also served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Leonard B. Sand of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
He received his J.D. in 2010 from New York University School of Law, where he was an articles editor on the NYU Law Review; his Ph.D. from Yale University in 2007; and his B.A. from Yale in 1998.
