Mariana Newman is a reference librarian and lecturer in law at Columbia Law School. She teaches introductory legal research classes as part of the first-year Legal Practice Workshop and LL.M. Legal Research and Writing. Before coming to Columbia Law School in 2017, she earned an M.L.I.S. with a specialization in Law Librarianship from the University of Washington, a J.D. from UCLA Law, and an A.B. in History from Georgetown University.
