KJ Lim

KJ Lim is a senior associate in the Intellectual Property and Technology Transactions Group at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. 

His practice focuses on commercial transactions and the intellectual property aspects of corporate transactions, advising clients across a broad range of industries. His experience includes compute partnerships involving leading AI and hardware companies; brand sponsorship transactions, including AB InBev's sponsorships of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the FIFA World Cup 2026; life sciences collaborations and licensing transactions; and patent licensing transactions, including the formation and operation of patent pools.

In addition to his transactional practice, KJ maintains an active pro bono practice. He works as a volunteer attorney for Family Legal Care and Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, and has advised Complete Picture, a non-profit that creates personalized videos for defendants convicted of non-violent crimes, which, where appropriate, often results in reduced sentences.

KJ holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School and a B.A. in Philosophy from New York University.
