Jane Merrill

Jane Merrill is a Supervising Attorney and the Director of Trial Court Litigation at the Center for Appellate Litigation.

At CAL, Jane represents clients in post-conviction proceedings in trial courts and appeals to intermediate appellate courts and the New York Court of Appeals. Previously, she worked as a trial attorney in the Criminal Defense Practice of the Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem.

Jane graduated cum laude from New York University's School of Law, and holds a B.S., magna cum laude, from Northwestern University's School of Education and Social Policy.
