Ariel Werner

Ariel Werner is a trial attorney with the Southern District of New York branch of the Federal Defenders of New York. In this role, she represents clients facing federal criminal charges at all stages of their cases, from presentment through sentencing. Before joining the Federal Defenders in 2019, she was a trial attorney with the Maryland Office of the Public Defender and, before that, a law clerk to the Honorable Edgardo Ramos. Ariel is a graduate of Brown University and New York University School of Law, where she was a Root-Tilden-Kern Scholar, an editor of the NYU Law Review, and a participant in the Juvenile Defender Clinic.
