Anthe Maria Bova

Anthe Maria Bova is an Assistant Attorney General in the Charities Bureau of the Office of the New York State Attorney General, where she handles regulatory approvals and litigates matters relating to significant non-profit transactions.


Ms. Bova previously served as the General Counsel & Director of Pro Bono Programs of the New York County Lawyers Association, a non-profit bar association, where she handled all corporate governance and contractual matters. She also supervised and expanded the organization’s pro bono programs, and administered a dispute resolution program for the New York State Unified Court System.

Ms. Bova began her legal career as an Orison Marden Public Service Fellow with the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, and practiced finance, securities and corporate law for several years at White & Case LLP and Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP.  Ms. Bova’s previous teaching experience includes co-teaching the Community Economic Development Clinic at Fordham Law School, outlining the fundamentals of New York non-profit law with clinical students while representing social justice organizations in practice, and Criminal Court Process at Mercy University.


Ms. Bova was a 2020 Women inPower Fellow through the 92nd Street Y’s Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact and 2020-21 Women’s Impact Alliance Fellow (formerly known as The Coaching Fellowship). 
 


Ms. Bova is a graduate of Barnard College and Fordham University School of Law.
