The Human Rights Internship Program (HRIP) supports Columbia 1L and 2L students who want to work in the human rights field over the summer and who have a substantial interest in the postgraduate practice of international human rights law. Students participating in HRIP engage in intensive experiential learning in international human rights legal practice abroad. After receiving preparatory training and orientation throughout the spring semester, interns spend the summer working with international human rights organizations abroad.
HRIP is administered by the Office of Public Interest/Public Service Law and Careers (the PI/PS Office).
