Invitation Requests for Visa Purposes
If you require an invitation letter to support a visa application—for yourself or for family members—to attend Class Day and/or Commencement ceremonies, please complete this FORM.

To be eligible for free rental regalia (gown and hood, a $129 value), you must complete your Tassel Form.
Please note: students are responsible for purchasing their own tam (cap), which costs $80—and it’s yours to keep!
Important: Failure to complete your Tassel Form will prevent you from ordering graduation regalia.
How to Order Your Regalia
Once your Tassel Form is submitted, you may order your free rental regalia beginning Tuesday, February 17:

A tam is required and can be ordered by clicking here to order OSFA (one size fits all). Be sure to include your order number in your email to the bookstore.
Regalia Pick-Up & Return
- Regalia distribution begins: Monday, April 20, 2026
(for students who ordered by April 3) - Orders placed after April 3 will receive pick-up details directly from the bookstore.
- Regalia return deadline: Saturday, May 30, 2026
- Failure to return your regalia by this date will result in additional fees.
Law School Class Day Tickets and Commencement Tickets
Guests are required to have tickets to attend Law School Class Day on Sunday, May 17, 2026 and University Commencement on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
Columbia Law School Class Day Tickets

For JDs Only: If you are unable to claim a ticket, make sure that you have completed your Pro Bono requirement AND the Private Sector Employment Survey.
How to Claim Your Class Day Tickets (up to six (6) tickets):
1. Graduates will need to log back on HERE.
2. Click on View
3. Select "Add New Ticket" and claim the number of tickets that you would like
4. Students can email the tickets to their guests
To request extra tickets, please log back onto Tassel and click on update my details. You can click through the form until you reach the additional tickets portion. Please enter how many additional tickets you would like to request. Distribution of additional tickets will begin on Monday, May 4, 2026.
University Commencement Tickets

University Commencement is May 20, 2026 at 10:30 a.m.
Registration for Commencement tickets will open on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. (ET).
Ticket Registration Details:
- All graduates must register for an e-ticket for themselves and their guests.
- Guest e-tickets are required for anyone age 3 and older.
- Eligible students may reserve up to two (2) guest e-tickets.

The registration link and additional information will be available on the Tickets and Registration page of the Commencement website.
Please note that registration will close on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. We strongly encourage you to register as early as possible.
Those who registered will receive a graduating student ticket AND any guest tickets via text message & email on Monday, May 11th.
