Section Description
This course will consider the workings of the criminal justice system, beginning with the bail decision. We will cover bail, prosecutorial discretion, discovery, jury trial rights, plea bargaining, sentencing, double jeopardy, appeals and habeas. The course will focus on the leading Supreme Court precedents and the ongoing efforts for reform.
