Mitchell Presser is a partner in Morrison & Foerster’s Global Corporate Department. He advises on high-profile global public and private mergers and acquisitions, with a heavy concentration on private equity transactions. Mitchell is also co-chair of Morrison & Foerster’s global AgTech + Food Industry practice. 

Mitchell started his career at Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz. He was there from 1989 through 2006 and was a partner for 11 years. From 2006 to 2013, Mitchell was a founding partner of Paine and Partners (now known as Paine Schwartz Partners), a private equity firm managing a $1.2 billion fund focused on investing in food and agribusiness.

Mitchell graduated New York University with a BA in accounting and received his JD from Yale Law School.

Mitchell teaches a course on International Mergers & Acquisitions at Harvard Law School and Columbia Law School (both cross-registered with the business schools).
